The Keep, Oval Yard (Listed)

The Oval Yard nestles behind the western wall of the 1841 Star Fort and maps of Ebrington reveal that, over time, the yard served as a “fuel yard”, “back yard” and an “engineers’ yard”. Around 1900 the keep was constructed in the middle of the oval yard and is part of the Scheduled Ancient Monument.
