Market interest has been confirmed for Building 104 for the development of a SME Hub.  This project will provide a range of own door office spaces which will complement the Creative Hub at Eighty81 and will ultimately support a further 40 jobs at Ebrington.  The project represents an expansion for a business in the city and, subject to funding, it is scheduled to complete in 2017.

Ilex ensured that the criteria for identification of the preferred bidder were in line with the ethos of the One Plan.  Tenants were therefore required to demonstrate their approach and commitment to job creation, skills development and sustainability.


Location:

  • Located at the eastern end of Ebrington, beside the main route to St. Columb’s Road and Limavady Road in the Waterside
  • Ebrington is a key shared space, and attracts significant footfall estimated at 1m per annum. Ebrington already has hosted a wide range of major public/concert events including sporting events, world record-breaking feats, The Walled City Tattoo, BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend and the Turner Prize
  • Five minutes’ walk to the train station in the Waterside
  • Five minutes’ walk to the bus station and Walled City, via the Peace Bridge
