Hallowe'en Haunted House @ Ebrington

Opening Friday, 17th October

(Until Sunday 2nd Nov; from 5pm weekdays, 1pm Saturdays, Sundays & school holidays)

It’s Hallowe’en so let’s have a party, there’s no shortage of spirits!  Welcome to Château le Fear and to its various rooms full of surprises and fascinating characters.  This is one party you will never forget!

Designed by local Commercial Artist, Phil Ruddock, Château le Fear is an interactive walk-through show with live actors and an array of special light and sound effects.  The Château le Fear experience has been described as so terrifying, mere nightmares in comparison seem like light relief!  Inspired, says Phil “by too many late night movies and a little communing with the dead”!

For the past four weeks, a team of carpenters and designers have been transforming the period building where the show will be held into the ultimate House of Horror. In total, over 30 local people are employed in the project, in various roles such as set building, costume making and performing.

Château le Fear is a new and exciting (understatement!)  addition to the line up of attractions at the 2014 Banks of the Foyle Hallowe’en Carnival.

Tickets are available at the Château in Ebrington and no advance booking is required. The Château is not recommended for those under 12 years of age but a lighter, scaled down version of the show will be presented at weekends and during school holidays from 1pm -3pm daily, for younger children who must be accompanied by an adult.

Along with Château le Fear, a monster Hallowe’en funfair will open at Ebrington on Friday, October 24th and run until Sunday, November 2nd from 1pm daily. The funfair will present a host of top rides and family attractions, including lots of kiddie rides, a Victorian Carousel and, for the first time ever in Derry, a Wild Mouse rollercoaster.
